2025 Tillamook YMCA Baseball & Softball Registration

The Tillamook YMCA is committed to teaching baseball and softball skills, character development, and sportsmanship. Whether your child is a returning player or brand new to the game, we welcome them! We also work to remove barriers to participation so that every child can play.

🥎Financial Assistance Available:

• A grant is available at everykidsports.org to help cover youth sports costs!
• If you don’t qualify for the grant, the Y will provide financial assistance—no child is ever turned away due to money!

Season Dates & Levels

Little League Softball (3rd-8th Grade)

📅 Season: March 3 – June 15 (depending on tournament play)

📅 Evaluations:

• Softball Majors & Minors (12U, grades 3rd-6th, 8 year old’s can play at this level but will be moved down to Rookie ball if they’re not ready):
  • March 6-7, 4:30-6 PM @ YMCA Softball Field
• Softball Juniors (14U, grades 7th-8th):
  • Feb. 28, 5:30-7 PM @ YMCA Softball Field

🥎Practices begin the week after evaluations

🥎NAFA Tournament Teams will be formed to create an additional, competitive route for the girls softball players. Tryouts will be at the end of March and the teams will work to get together at least once a week to create team chemistry going into the tournament season. These teams will not interfere with regular season Little League. More info to come. 

📍 Game Schedule:

• Softball: More frequent travel, usually on Saturdays to Banks, Forest Grove, or Yamhill-Carlton

• Softball (3rd-8th grade): $185

🧢 Provided: Jersey & hat
🥎Players Provide: Glove, cleats, baseball pants (other equipment if desired)

For grades 1st & 2nd. (Players who are in 3rd grade AND 8 years old may play in this league) For players exploring farther into the sport. Introducing the skills needed to hit pitches from a coach and field using baseball/softball IQ. Registration ends April 30th! The season starts May 5th and runs through July 2nd. The games will be on Tuesdays (I think) and Saturdays. Practices on other nights of the week as decided on by coaches. (No Sunday involvement) This division will focus on the introduction of team baseball/softball and the fundamentals required to play with confidence.

This level is for the little ones! For ages 4-6. (Players MUST be 4 years old by May 5th to participate.) For players just beginning. Batters will be hitting off of a tee. Registration ends April 30th! The season starts May 5th and runs through July 2nd. The games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. Practices are held twice a week to start the season, and then games replace practices. (No Sunday Involvement) T-ball leagues are designed to help players learn basic skills such as batting, catching, throwing, and game rules. All kids are encouraged to play by getting equal chances to bat, run bases, and play on the field.
